Malaysia Latest Car Website Review

Best place to look for cars online now would be at CarSifu!

It covers almost all local and imported cars. And its website is neat and tidy. You know what I mean? Information are not spread out, and your eyes need not scan thru the page to look for the info you want.

And there is this Cars for Sale tab where it lists what cars are on sales, where is it sold, price, so on and so forth.
There are also specific tabs on where the cars are sold, which state and all. So you won’t go all disappointed when if you are from Penang, and after getting all the info and you found out the car is at Johor. That would be such a waste of time.

With this Carsifu, you can slowly decide and check on the prices before paying your down payment, without feeling awkward.

Something really interesting and worth exploring! ;D

Find Rooms To Let in KL

Finding rooms to let in KL? I find this Cari Bilik site quite useful. It has a list of locations of vacant rooms. I.e. Ampang, Wangsa Maju, Pandan Indah etc. You name it, they have it.

It’s like Yellow pages on rooms and housing units. It provides full description about the particular unit, facilities provided, and rental price and contact numbers of the owners. I find it easier to make comparisons, check the next best available unit, then only contact the landlord for more detailed information or start negotiating the rental price with them. With the recent increase in petrol price, I think finding a room online saves all the hassle locating the place, checking out the place and all. ‘cause we might not want to rent the place in the end.

Another thing I find pretty useful is the “Follow me on Twitter” button. Getting the information on room to let in real time is the best-est thing on earth! Don’t you think so? And for those who want to rent their rooms as well, they can just post details of it up at the site.

So what are you waiting for? Start making full use of this available site!!!

Procrastination

Procrastination...

Should be a good thing.

If one don't procrastinate while shopping, I think that person is either filthy rich or only have their pocket money allocated specially for shopping.

Sharks!!! Protect them! Not kill them...

Sharks are getting extinct!

And we still happily having them as part of our dish during weddings and major events. Having shark fins DO NOT show that you are from a upper class, having a higher standard of living from the others, it merely shows that you don't care about the earth's ecosystem, and just being plain selfish.

Please Please! Be aware! And stop the buying now! No Demand No Supply!

Fight of the year!

When it comes to exam period... There's nothing I can not do to avoid from doing revision...

Made this small clip called Domestic Geographic!
My brother was head-counting (or rather tail-counting) the fish the other day, and he found one missing. Not a single bone left. So he tail-count the fish more frequent, and this is what we saw...

Law of Contract: Acceptance: Counter-Offer: Hyde V. Wrench

Law of Contract, Counter Offer, Hyde V. Wrench: : After revising today, I found out what I've explained to some of you all is kind of misleading. Sorry about that. Haha.

From the textbook:
The defendant offered to sell his estate to the plaintiff on 6 June for £1000. On 8 June, in reply, the plaintiff made a counter-proposal to purchase at £950. When the defendant refused to accept this offer on 27 June, the plaintiff wrote again that he was prepared to pay the original sum demanded.
The court held: No contract existed between them. The plaintiff had rejected the original proposal on 8 June so that he was no longer capable of accepting it later.

Reasoning:
On what basis does Hyde sued Wrench for?
Breach of contract.

The general principal here is that when counter-offer occurs, naturally the original offer will be destroyed.
So Hyde can't sue Wrench for breach of contract, as the original offer has been turned down by Hyde at the first place. Means there is no contract anymore between the both parties, or in other words, the contract has been invalidated. Thus, the court held that no contract existed between them.

Law of Contract, Counter Offer, Hyde V. Wrench!

Does this clear the air a little?!

1,000, 000 Dollar Bill

1,000, 000 Dollar Bill!!! What would you do with it?!?!

Attended National Achievers Congress 2010 few days back.

The second speaker Robert G. Allen actually gave out money to the participants. Yeah!!! Money!
He gave it out while emphasizing on the golden quote: When Opportunity comes, We must take ACTION!!!

Guess how much he gave out?

Like what it is written at the title of this post, 1,000, 000 Dollar Bill, a stack of it! The whole crowd went berserk. People ran towards the stage to grab the bill. Imagine how much is a Million USD in MYR...

Let's do some math:

                           Current Conversion- 1 USD = 3.184 MYR
                           So,
                                            1,000, 000 USD = 3, 184,000 MYR

What happens when you get it? You're definitely in the Millionaire's Club!

But here's the catch, there is no a Million Dollar note! In other words, 1,000, 000 USD is and never was printed! Back to the point of him emphasizing on the quote mentioned above.... Totally senseless isn't it?! Does it mean that, when "crappy" opportunity comes, just take action anyway?!

Hmmm... What you guys think?

Anyway, just for your knowledge, the biggest bill printed is 100,000 Dollar Bill, and this is just a Gold Certificate.

For more information, check out this site on USD Bills.

Back to the basics...

Several times my classmates asked me on building terms, and each time I answered: 'There the part end of the roof there...' or 'There... the flat flat thing on top...'

And each time they asked, I realised I know what it is for, but I don't really know the exact place/ meaning of it. It's like knowing its cover, but not the contents...

Back to square one... I flipped books, notes etc... googled... Just to refresh what I've learnt last year. So I would like to clarify here, the same same but different parts of roof:

Eaves
The lower, level part of a
roof overhanging a wall

Fascia
The vertical boards nailed to the lower ends of
rafters. That piece of trim on which you would mount gutters.

Gable End Wall
The triangular area of wall on the end of the property where there is a doublepitched roof.

Verge:
The edge of a sloping
roof which overhangs a gable.

I think this website is really helpful. Guess it would be good if you bookmark it! ;D

Something that you wouldn't want to miss!

Contingency Plan, Just-In-Time Plan, What-The-Heck Plan

Have been busy every weekend since beginning of the year.

It's either at Kiara or Gasing Hill jogging, or hiking else where, or attending some events(eg. non-stop family dinner due to CNY), or experiencing parkour out of curiosity or probably stuck with classes(yeah have class even during the weekends!!!).

Had neglected cycling for a bit. What was worse was I hadn't exercise for about 2 weeks.

Last week went to Central Market with my friends, some exhibition there, everything sold there is either handmade or those really cool/ rare stuff that you hardly get a glimpse of out there. Bought this Osorezan CD by Eric Cordier, described as nice and soothing, it's all the sound of the surroundings, nature etc. This Eric guy took 15 years to compile all these sounds together. BUT, haha, I guess it ain't my type. So if you want it, do let me know, I'll sell you cheap cheap durian runtuh, lori langgar price!

And that was on Saturday. On Sunday went to Palace of the Golden Horses for UTAR ball. My silly motor nerves got me into signing up as a helper for the ball. We were there at 8.30am till 12am! Pretty much a waste of time during the day. But the night was great! First time I see so many performances for a ball! And the MCs were superbly impromptu. They just roll with the ball... A skill to be developed, definitely.

Class cancelled today. Had a ride at Desa Park City with a road biker. I shall rate it as mild compared to the first time where he brought me on road: Taman Tun- Penchala Link-Kiara. Starting point... My crib...

Looking forward for more riding sessions! =D

Of Randomosity and What Nots

My smelly garbage bin was stolen.
- It's nothing but a black bin which the whole neighbourhood has. Not sure what makes my bin so extraordinary.

I was woken up by a loud crash, bang, noise...
- Which happens to be a table fan of my housemate's fallen from the table. Physics? or Paranormal activity? Tell me about it.

My friends helped me out in the process of collecting stickers for a giraffe from Guardian.

Ampang Hilir Homes @ Embassy Row

Hmm, I think it's still safer to stay in a condo! And there's all the other privileges too! Swimming pool, gym, BBQ area, MPH, children's playroom... etc

To choose a place to live like living in heaven, I think Ampang Hilir will be the place!

There's a few condos there that caught my eye. Perhaps you can check it out! If you're thinking of moving house, migrating to Malaysia or make it your holiday haven.

Hey Readers!

I've got a long lost friend from LEO, Ming Sheng, told me my posts were so interesting that he spent more than an hour going through my blog!!!

My Taylors' and uni friends were like: Omg, I lurvve your mango post!

Some people thinks I'm doing Zoology, as there's more posts on animals than other topics. (No I'm not ok. I don't mind working with animals though.)

My Mom spends her lunchtime reading through.

I couldn't help! But some of them laughed over it out loud, when they are supposed to be quiet at the particular place.

My Twitter friends from all over the world commented on it! Thanks people!

So far those who commented on my posts left their names behind, but there's three anonymous. Guess you won't wanna remain anonymous as it's hard for me to acknowledge you and thank you! =D

Amazing Stories from Amazing Animals

Animals have this sort of instinct, they know when we are in deep shit, they know when we are goofing around with them, they just know it...

Here are some animals that actually saved people's life, which I find it really unbelievable:

1.

Pig dashes into street for heart attack victim

JoAnn Altsman had a heart attack and collapsed to the ground. Lulu, her daughter’s pot-bellied pig, rushed out of the house, lying down in the street to stop traffic. The pig tried relentlessly to get help, returning to the house to check on JoAnn, only to rush back to the street desperate for help. Finally, one person stopped and followed the determined pig back to the house, where they found JoAnn in pain on the floor. She was immediately rushed to a hospital.
2.

Beluga whale saves drowning diver
Diver Yang Yun was part of a competition to hold her breath for as long as possible in a pool of beluga whales in China. The dive was running smoothly until she tried to move her legs and they wouldn’t move. That’s when Mila, one of the beluga whales, came to her rescue. Sensing something was wrong, the whale immediately swam to the drowning diver, took Yun’s leg in her mouth and lifted her to the surface to breathe, saving her life.
3.

92 stranded sailors saved by a dog named Tang

In 1919, a ship called Ethie crashed into rocks stranding 93 sailors amidst stormy seas. After one of the sailors was swept out to sea, the crew turned to Tang. With the rope in his mouth, the dog leaped into the water. When he reached land, onlookers were amazed to discover that his jaw was still fastened to the rope. All 92 of the remaining sailors were pulled to safety due to Tang’s ceaseless bravery.
4.

Gorilla protects boy who falls in zoo enclosure

Here’s the remarkable story of Jambo, a silverback gorilla at the Jersey Zoo. After a young boy, Levan, fell into the gorilla’s zoo enclosure, fracturing his skull and breaking limbs, Jambo immediately came to his aid. The silverback stood firmly next to the young boy and even stroked his back in comfort, protecting the boy from danger. When Levan woke up and began to cry, Jambo lead his entire troop away so human rescuers could reach the boy.

Isn't it amazing?!

Old granny stole my MNG... again~

Old Granny enjoys again...
Some of you may not have read about this yet... So here's a brief recap:
This old granny who collects recyclable products around my neighbourhood loves to come around my mango tree. Get a good read here: MNG stolen =(

So yeah... she's wearing a yellow shirt this time. With a cooler galah to pluck mangoes. After some feedbacks here and there, this time I called out: Mak Cik... (not shouting, just loud enough for her to hear.)

Gosh, I should get a video cam. Her reaction was really fast! After a mango fell on the ground, and she heard me calling. Both of her eyes went reaaally big, she placed her galah away. Bent down to grab the mango... And walked up the street real fast.

Mak cik ar... Mak cik... If you were a little slower and ask whether you can have more mangoes, I am more than willing to give you mangoes stored in my house.

Concrete evidence now in my house. Picture as below.. hehehe:

You may be thinking 'What's the wirings for?!'
It's to make the whole plucking process easier.
Don't understand? Go plant a mango tree. =)
I'm serious...

Anyway this is a baby bamboo... gosh I think she got this from my neighbour.
Right from its roots, as you can see.

I would like to say congrats to her again! She's the star of my day! My blog too! And I would like to thank her on behalf of my prairie dogs for having a new toy to nibble on!

Tiger, Lion and Bear living together?!

This is what 1Malaysia should be like!

It is possible to see Baloo, who is a 1,000 pound bear, Shere Khan, a 350 pound tiger and Leo, who is also 350 pounds messing around like brothers

If we could all just get along like these three unusual friends, we would live in a much different world.

In human society, people often do not like others simply because they are different. Humans kill over this matter. In more normal and everyday life, people may not kill each other but may not be as friendly or open to those from a different background, with a different color, with different views, or even with a different style.
In the animal kingdom, dangerous predators are not generally friends — they keep their distance. But in some cases (i.e. when being raised together), animals and humans alike can learn to be caring friends with those they might not have ever said hello to.
In the short story below, you can see how a lion, a tiger and a bear (Shere Khan, Baloo and Leo) became true friends, in the real world not a Disney story.

Churches Burnt

Just because they have a row over the use of the "Allah" word?!?!
Can't they sort this out without such barbaric actions?

Like what I've just tweeted: talking about 1Malaysia... will the government take fair action into this? Or just gonna beat around the bush again?

Polymer Clay

Morning peeps!

Few days back I meddle with the polymer clay I bought from my friend last year.

Wanted to make a small telly, yet it turned out to look more like dark chocolate topped with white chocolate.

Decided to make a car, but it doesn't look like it. (Didn't even bother snapping a pic of it)
Realised that it looks easy to make, yet to actually make it, it's quite tough, patience-testing.

Mixed the white and bits of black, made a heart shape. (easiest to make haha)

Then wanted to make a cute human figure, which turned out like this:

It looks too cute, so I decided to add ears and rosy lip.

This is it! Cool eh?!

Note: Stretch the panthose to desired tightness. You wouldn't want it to be too tight till it's going to tear apart, nor too loose till it can't hold up your earrings.

Don't Apply for Streamyx! Til You Read This..

Streamyx a.k.a. TM net, with the Blue Hippo

When you're living at Malaysia, every thing here moves slowly, not only the internet connection, and it also highly depends on who is doing it, get what I mean?

Anyway, connection was really slow last week, and there were no connection at all for the past 3 days. No earlier notices, nothing. Worst thing was, we called up, and they don't even know why there's no connection. GG.

On top of that, we realised that our 512k plan is not upgraded to 1M plan. And we have paid 88MYR for so many years. They kept telling us our plan will automatically be upgraded to 1M.

It's really your choice to meddle with this really slow service. I guess it's time for me to potong it! and get P1 W1Max.

Here are some good read on how slow Streamyx can be:
